Job Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for operating multi-slice computerized tomography scanners to obtain cross-sectional images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Work Hours: EverySaturday from 8 AM-5 PM; some availability may vary on need of clinic.. 

Job Duties:

1. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures; accurately interprets a physician’s scanning instructions.
2. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns.
3. Performs quality assurance on CT scanning equipment according to ACR QA requirements.
4. Properly uses the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and communication system (PACS).
5. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited two (2) year program in Radiologic Technology is required.

Experience:

Three (3) years of CT experience is required. Proficient IV skills are preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. 

Additional Licenses and Certifications:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) by the Radiological Technology of Registered Technologists or CT license is required; Currently licensed in Medical Radiological Technology by the Texas State Department of Health or the Texas Medical Board is required.
