Job Summary:
Under general supervision, responsible for working within a multidisciplinary team providing clinical care to community adult and adolescent outpatients with serious mental illness, substance use disorder and other co-morbid conditions.
This is a grant funded position sponsored by the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC). TCMHCC was created by the 86th Texas Legislature to leverage the expertise and capacity of the health-related institutions of higher education to address urgent mental health challenges and improve the mental health care system in this state in relation to children and adolescents. TCHATT (Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine), is one initiative of the TCMHCC and is designed to partner with school districts to provide mental and behavioral health care access to all students in the state of Texas.
Job Duties:
Education:
Bachelors' degree in social work, counseling, or psychology is required.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in a health care setting is required.
Additional Licenses and Certifications:
LMSW licensure is preferred.
