You Are:

UST is searching for an Electrical Engineer who will mentor and monitor a project team including junior designers as well as individual module leads in translating customer requirements and providing proper estimate of effort and work schedule for the team. Own the responsibility of providing detailed project and status reporting while exploring avenues to build new capabilities.

The Opportunity:

• Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision
• Perform basic engineering analysis under general supervision.
• Perform and generate basic engineering test reports under general supervision.
• Generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product release.
• Coordinate the procurement and assembly of electrical/electronic components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
• Troubleshoot a variety of moderately complex electrical problems.
• Implement concepts for product issues and electrical solutions of moderate difficulty.
• Assist in development of electrical product specifications.

What you need:

• Appropriate 3D Software Modules
• GD&T
• Stack-up analysis for new design
• DFMEA
• Value Analysis skills-Value Engineering to reduce product cost.
• Knowledge about customer domain and sub domain
• Prior experience with documentation and specific definition of system specifications.
• Domain knowledge of Off High-way mining equipment, Electro-mechanical, Automotive, Casting, Plastic, Semiconductor, Medical, Aerospace, Heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in Creo, Cabling, Piping, Sheet metal, Auto CAD, FEA, Part modelling, Casting, Electrical Schematic Drawing, MBA (Model Based Assembly or Paperless drawing).
• Root cause analysis.
• PUGH matrix.
• Structural analysis, FEA, etc.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: New York

Compensation Range: $76,000-$114,000

Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
