Workforce Scheduling Flex Job Summary The Business Planning Manager position supports enterprise strategic and market driven planning. The employee provides program management to prepare three year and annual business plans by working collaboratively across all departmental, and at times company functions. This position administers and continually leverages business planning management software to support successful planning, execution, and business management. The Business Planning Manger conducts daily vendor and contract management, and creates operational reporting around contractual agreements, program objectives, potential failure points, and quality analysis of business plan execution and performance as a guide in achieving business goals, and adapting the plans to strategic changes as appropriate. Requirements EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' relevant experience will be considered. Masters degree in Business or Health Administration preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum five (5) years' experience in the industry or acting as a consultant on major strategic planning projects required. OR applicable Masters in related field with minimum five (3) years' experience. Minimum five (5) years' proficient working knowledge of PC and office software applications. Minimum two (2) years' leadership experience (role, team and/or project management). Prior experience as a strategic or annual business planning. In-depth knowledge of the health insurance and health plan payer market. Proven experience for excellent reporting, written communications, and presentations for a variety of management levels from senior executives to operational staff. Experience to draw conclusions by evaluating various sources of information with facts and data. Experience creating Project Documentation and QA Process. Experience reading and creating SQL code using SAS/Excel/Access, etc. Minimum three (3) years' project management experience with ability to lead and manage large complex processes and projects preferred. Solid understanding of the EDGE Server and ACA Risk Adjustment model, medical billing and coding, and business forecasting strategies and techniques preferred. Experience with Snowflake preferred. Skills Responsibilities Assists ACA Risk Adjustment management and analysts to profitable growth and new solution strategies to achieve ACA Risk Adustment short and long-term goals and objectives. Assists with the development and execution of business plans for all assigned ACA Risk Adjustment programs with clear objectives and measurable key results (OKRs)., Assists responsible executives and senior managers to profitable growth and new solution strategies to achieve ABCBS short and long-term goals and objectives. Assist the development and execution of plans by business line, market segments and business functions with clear objectives and measurable key results (OKRs). , Conducts market research, analyzes the environment and industry trends with data analysis, qualitative studies, SWOT analyses, options evaluations, and feasibility assessments., Develops, analyze results and report on business plan and OKRs with communications., Evaluates the execution of plans on an ongoing basis by requesting the creation of reports and analyzing performance of strategies and business plans for review by senior management in a manner that is that is easily understood by others., Identifies on an ongoing basis, viable strategies, impactful improvements and mitigate threats with findings or recommendations., Identifies on an ongoing basis, viable strategies, impactful improvements and mitigate threats with findings or recommendations., Manages, maintain, and administer a business planning software program by maximizing and continuously enhancing the tool to increase efficient and effective use.
