Surly's production capabilities are continuing to expand, and we are looking for someone ready to jump in and help support our growth. The contract inventory and procurement specialist ensures just-in-time procurement of all raw ingredients and packaging materials for contract manufacturing, as well as inventory management and reporting of all materials in house to ensure on-time production and minimize any delays due to inventory or lack-thereof. Communicate inventory needs with contract clients and production management as appropriate.

• Ensure a safe work environment and a culture that embraces safe work habits, understanding of the risks, compliance with regulations, and following corrective action plans for any identified safety hazards and risks as directed by brewery management.
• Procurement of all raw ingredients and packaging materials within specified production windows
• Clear communication with clients and Surly marketing team on art deadlines for packaging materials
• Manage on-hand inventory and communicate inventory needs with contract clients
• Communicate any known raw material, packaging material and/or quality issues to brewery management.
• Coordinate inbound shipments with warehouse team as necessary
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Motivated to fill in and help where needed without expressed instruction. Communicates clearly and thoroughly.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A working knowledge of OSHA requirements and a proven track record of focus on building a safety culture
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Orchestrated Beer
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects
• Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day) performing job with and around moving machinery

• 1 years of related experience or training in a production and/or warehouse environment
• A BA or BS degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
