US Farathane is Hiring a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor Near Georgetown, TX
Summary:
- Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for shipping personnel and conformance to policy and procedures.
- Responsible for shipping procedures, (i.e.) load sheets, pick list, staging, auditing,call ins of carriers.
- Responsible for scheduling vacations, overtime and training.
- Communicates with Customer Service and Production Scheduling as required.
- Daily OK of warehouse for organization & cleanliness.
- Organization and Identification of Finished Goods and components, inclufing FIFO.
- Organize the warehousing; coordinate the traffic flow of same between the warehouse, production and shipping.
- Verify inventories as needed and communicates discrepancies.
- Participate in physical inventories.
- Act as a back-up for shipping clerk.
- Ensure CTPAT procedure is followed.
- Ensure Dock Lock Procedure is followed.
- Ensure all returnable areas are kept clean and organized.
- Perform daily safety walk thru.
- Supervisory Responsibilities- Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Familiar with evacuation plans. Trained in clean-up modules. Keep all areas of warehouse and docks clean, organized, and clear of debris and resin.
- Responsible for sending/ensuring accuracy of ASNS.
- Responsible for customer websites used for shipping.
- Must be available after hours and weekends when issues arise.
- Monitor returnable packaging and maintain inventory in Parts and customer portals
Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of three (3) years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
