POSITION PROFILE

The candidate's primary job function is to process domestic and international shipments for customers. Employees are required to pack their own shipments and fill out a shipping request authorization form, this position is the gatekeeper. The candidate must have knowledge of / experience shipping material internationally, a stick code of ethics to ensure each key step in the process is followed, and strong communication skills. For this site, Ricoh processes technical and non-technical shipments via FedEx and DHL. The shipments cannot contain hazardous materials, with one exception – Lithium-Ion Batteries may be contained, if the packaging, labeling, shipping method, battery type, and wattage hours meet regulatory guidelines. In this position you work closely with project managers / department heads. This position also manages all related shipping records / retention, tracking volumes / metrics, pulling shipping detail reports, conducting audits, and the reclassing of expenses back to the individual customer departments. It is also the primary tech specialist position over shipment processing operations that owns & maintains processes / forms / Customer SharePoint Pages, the training of backup support, and to provide support for remote mailroom locations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follows Ricoh Service Excellence performance requirements.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills (prior experience in a corporate environment, a plus)
• Able to communicate in a positive, professional manner with executive-level customers via phone, text, IM, emails, etc.
• Able to work as part of a team or individually to produce an on-time, quality work-product which meets contracted service level agreements (SLAs)
• Able to type, use Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Work, etc.), bar code scanners, & office equipment proficiently (prior experience using TRAC or a digital mail platform, a plus).
• Must have prior shipment processing experience for both domestic and international shipping (Experience using FedEx, DHL, UPS, or other shipment processing platforms, a plus).
• Able to train / mentor team members to provide backup coverage on-site or to process shipments at remote locations.
• Able to lift / move up to 50 pounds alone, work with other team members to move heavier material, and utilize transportation aids (two-wheelers, carts, hydraulic or power lift jacks) to eliminate lifting, when possible, to ensure safety.
• May involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities.
• Prior work in a service-related position, a plus.
• Able to provide support on Dell’s Round Rock and Austin Campuses.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• May perform occasional cleaning duties as needed.
• May require periodic overtime, nights, weekends, and including off-hour emergency support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• The Work Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30AM – 4:30PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch period.
