US Eye is Hiring a Charge Entry Specialist Near Bradenton, FL
- Enter, reconcile, and bill clinical, surgical, and diagnostic charges within 2 business days.
- Complete a thorough review of necessary charges such as modifiers and diagnosis.
- Communicate with clinical teams and providers across the organization as necessary.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy for all charge entry processes and input.
- Complete daily, and weekly, reconciliations for all captured charges.
- Formulate and recommend program goals and objectives in all areas of employee relations.
- Utilize the system charge scrubber to process daily charges.
- Complete surgery operative notes for the provider’s review and signature.
- Complete image surgery operative notes into the billing system.
- Periodically communicate with leadership on assignment status.
- Identify opportunities to improve charge entry quality, to include charge edits.
- Transmit claims to the clearinghouse and resolve clearinghouse rejections.
- Assist with other charge entry assignments as determined by the department leaders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain high degree of confidentiality.
- Proficient in using organizational billing systems.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexible to the needs of the department and organization.
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Remote work may be considered for this position.
Travel to the office as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Prior Charge Entry experience required (minimum of 1 year).
- Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) or Ophthalmic Coding Specialist (OCS) preferred.
