SUMMARY

The Sales Assistant Manager ensures the quality of service and positive patient experiences in the Sales Department, provides exceptional service in all interactions with the goal of creating efficiency and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hires and trains sales associates, monitor inventory, support management, operations, and staff of the Sales Department
  • Supervises the activities of the Sales Department
  • Oversees and works closely with the Sales and Inventory departments to fulfill customer product request.
  • Ensures compliance in every transaction. Adapts and innovates as the cannabis market changes.
  • Demonstrates leadership and compassionate management
  • Provides exceptional service and product knowledge
  • Verifies the accurate exchange of register drawers and ensure opening and closing procedures are accurately performed
  • Appropriately authorize discounts and other changes in sales receipts
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are being observed by associates in the department
  • Supervises, coaches, and communicates with associates to meet and exceed performance expectations
  • Partners with the department manager to provide recognition and discipline where appropriate
  • Maintains strict confidentiality with customer information
  • Understands and maintains sales expectations, growth expectations, and margin expectations
  • Manage the inventory location department.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Frequently: Walking, sitting at a desk, grasping/gripping, bending/stooping/squatting, finger dexterity, computer input, coordination of hand and eye. 
  • Frequently: Face contact with customers and staff
  • Occasionally: Reaching above shoulder height, lifting 20-30 lbs., ability to do push/pull motions.
  • Will require working varied hours/day, including nights weekends, holidays, and/or events on occasion

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior retail or customer service experience (1-3 years)
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, with advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Prior management/supervisory experience (1-3 years)
  • Prior research and study of cannabis and/or completion of cannabis industry-related educational programs
  • Experience in the health industry highly desirable
  • Experience working in the cannabis industry highly desirable
  • Must be 21 years old and pass a criminal background check requirement
