Equity

At Comp Sci High, we are committed to equity in all aspects of our mission and vision. We recognize that structural inequities disproportionately affect Black and Brown students, hindering their ability to achieve economic freedom. Our dedication to addressing these disparities is rooted in our belief that every student deserves an equal opportunity to succeed.

Our approach to equity is comprehensive and proactive. We work to actively identify and dismantle barriers to success, whether they stem from systemic racism, socioeconomic status, or other forms of oppression. Our staff understand that the learning and unlearning must begin with themselves. We aim to foster a culture of continuous improvement, where we regularly assess our practices and policies to ensure they are aligned with our commitment to equity and justice, especially as we are preparing our students for an increasingly interconnected world.

Achieving true equity requires ongoing collaboration, dedication, and courage. We understand that this journey will not be easy, but we are unwavering in our commitment to creating a more just and equitable future in partnership with our students. At Comp Sci High, Equity is not just a goal—it is a moral imperative. We invite you to join us in this vital work as we strive to become an engine of opportunity and a force for economic freedom in the South Bronx and beyond.
