UPMC is currently hiring a Regular Full-time, Licensed Practical Nurse, OP to join our Endocrinology office. The schedule for this outpatient LPN position will be 4 days per week: 

• 7:15 am - 5:45 pm: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday 
• Not scheduled to work: Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, or Major Holidays (7 paid holidays/yr)!

• $5,000.00 - 2yr Commitment | 0-1 years experience & recent graduates

Purpose:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.

Responsibilities:

• Draw blood.
• Comply with the requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
• Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Assess the patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, and communicating physician advice/instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
