Principal Functions of the Position:

Creates and updates technical documents such as procedural, service, and operations manuals in clear and concise language to assist customers in having a positive ownership experience with our products. Materials covered by the manual include safety, installation, operation, and maintenance as well as pictures and illustrations of equipment for use by dealers and farmers. Information also includes blueprints, sketches, specifications, articles, and drawings. Possesses familiarity with agricultural related products or equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop technical documents including safety, installation, service, operating and maintenance procedures in clear and concise language using existing photos and 3D CAD models.
Take photos and create 3D CAD models as needed to create illustrations of equipment along with utilizing information from applicable specifications, articles and drawings.

• Work with Product Support and Design Engineering teams to develop and submit technical documents for final accuracy and precision reviews.

Pre- Requisitions:

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical Writing / Illustrating, drafting or another related field of study.
  • An associate degree in engineering, Technical Writing/ Illustration, drafting or another related field of study with 2- 5 years of writing and mechanical experience in place of the bachelor’s degree will suffice.
• Prior experience with Adobe Products (In Design and Photoshop)
• Prior experience with Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent), AutoCAD and agricultural equipment.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic knowledge and writing skill.
• Proven experience of hands-on repairs along with general use of agricultural equipment
• Proficiency with written, verbal, presentation, and telephone communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft products including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Must be willing to travel to other facilities.
