The Center on Alcohol, Substance use And Addictions(CASAA) is looking for 1 Research Post-Doctoral Fellows to assist Drs. KatieWitkiewitz and Matthew R. Pearson with grants funded by the National Instituteon Drug Abuse that take an integrated and holistic approach to improving thelives of patients with chronic pain and opioid use disorder via tailoredintervention approaches to meet the needs of diverse individuals in diversecommunities. Specific research projects will test the effectiveness, mechanisms,and implementation of an integrated psychosocial treatment for chronic pain andopioid use disorder among individuals receiving buprenorphine from outpatientopioid use disorder treatment clinics, and will use community-basedparticipatory research methods to develop a culturally-centered implementationintervention for screening and brief intervention of chronic pain and opioiduse disorder among American Indian/Alaska Native patients in primary caresettings. Funding for pilot projects will also be available. Each postdoctoralfellow will be tightly integrated into various grant activities, will receivementoring in research design and dissemination, and will receive mentoring tosupport their transition to independent funding.
