Drs. Jennifer Hardesty and Brian Ogolsky in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies are seeking to fill a two-year Visiting Research Specialist position to begin in summer of 2023. The Visiting Research Specialist will coordinate an NIJ-funded grant to evaluate the efficacy of a domestic violence training program for legal professionals. This project is part of a collaborative ongoing program of research centered on intimate partner violence, divorce/separation, coparental relationships, and family court experiences. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: 1) intimate partner violence, family law, family or relationship science;2) advanced quantitative methods (e.g., randomized control trials, program evaluation) and analysis (e.g., multi-level modeling, longitudinal analysis, and structural equation modeling); 3) project management.

Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants should have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in human development/family studies, psychology, family law, or other relevant discipline; however strong candidates with Bachelor’s degrees will be considered. We seek applicants with strong organizational and leadership skills, writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time visiting Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. A reduced appointment may be considered if requested. This position may be reappointed depending on departmental needs and funding. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 5/16/2023. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
Other job responsibilities may include data management and analysis, professional development activities, and research dissemination in the form of academic publications and/or presentations commensurate with experience.
