JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Dining Services Supervisor directly supervises Food Service Workers, Prep Cooks and Line Chefs in the preparation and service of meals to UVMMC patients, visitors and staff, and is responsible for ensuring that all food handling occurs in a safe manner in accordance with all applicable regulations. Daily responsibilities include and are not limited to the daily operation of the Harvest Cafe, Garden Atrium and Main Street Cafe. The incumbent achieves cost, quality and regulatory objectives while meeting UVMMC's strategic and operational objectives.
EDUCATION:
Associate degree in food service, 5 years' experience in food service, or a combination of education and experience in food service or healthcare. Completion of Food Protection Manager Certification Course.
EXPERIENCE:
Two years of supervision in an institutional or high-volume commercial food service establishment recommended.
