JOB TITLE:
Research Assistant Sheridan Research and Extension Center
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist farm staff with agricultural activities including, but not limited to hay harvesting, seeding, tractor operations, hay handling and loading, mowing, tillage, and other agricultural duties as needed at the Sheridan Research and Extension Center. Report any challenges or concerns to appropriate ShREC staff. Take part in operations planning meetings, when appropriate. Report hours and complete appropriate trainings.
COMPETENCIES:
Ability to communicate with farm team and work independently in an agricultural environment.
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to SHREC customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work at the Sheridan Research and Extension Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with farming operations
Experience operating heavy equipment or agricultural equipment
