INTRODUCTION :

INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR II

Facilities Management is hiring for an exciting, fast paced position within our warehouse / receiving area. This is an independent position that ensures stock supply is maintained, resolves discrepancies, and ensures shipping and receiving is performed according to UW System established policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum / Required :

• Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and / or services ordering and inventory control
• Ability to operate a computer for data entry and email communication
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications
• Ability to work independently, analyze data and problem solve

Highly Desired / Preferred :

• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
• Experience receiving and stocking goods, and processing administrative paperwork
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain

Special Requirements :

• Valid Driver's License
• Must have ability to lift up to pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain storeroom inventory; enter updated levels in computerized maintenance management system, TMA; reorder based on minimum quantities.

Generate inventory reports; research new products; communicate with technicians and supervisors on appropriate inventory levels.

Organize storeroom inventory floor plan. Coordinate regular physical inventory counts. Identify and remove unused material or damaged stock from inventory shelves and TMA.

Coordinate shipping and receiving; receive, inspect and approve delivered materials. Enter material / inventory received into TMA.

Replenish inventory bins. Identify problems, discrepancies, shipment variations prior to approving documents for receipt and payment.

Operate forklifts and delivery vehicles.

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION

The Facilities Management Department is a service unit that reports to the Vice Chancellor of Business, Finance, and Administrative Services and provides many services to the UW-Stout campus including building and grounds maintenance, facility modifications and improvements, custodial services, snow removal, landscaping, campus planning & engineering, construction management, purchasing, fleet services, key management, campus inventory management, campus heat / steam production and chilled water, building openings and closings, event setup and teardown, moving services, trash and recycling collection, etc.

The mission of Facilities Management is to provide quality service in an efficient, professional manner while being fiscally responsible to ensure campus safety and comfort.
