Introduction (Description of School/College/Dept/Program)
Job Summary
The individual chosen for this role will support the home visiting and early childhood family support professional development program area through training facilitation, curriculum development and other professional development activities. This includes professional development in areas of child development, trauma and resilience, family engagement and other related knowledge and skills to support parents prenatally through early childhood. This is a full time position with remote/hybrid work option. The position requires travel throughout the state with occasional overnights. Ability to be approved as an authorized driver or have other means for reliable transportation is a requirement for this position.
Major duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Facilitate training and learning events.
    • Training facilitation through in-person, blended and virtual formats,
    • Maintain and ensure fidelity to national curricula standards as applicable.
    • Assist with coordination and facilitation of other professional development events including communities of practice and annual conference.
    • Utilize varied instructional strategies to encourage class engagement from diverse groups of learners
    • Assist with coordination of annual Fulfilling the Promise conference

    • Develop, update existing training curricula as needed.
      • Provide support and project management for curriculum projects involving other content experts
      • Review training feedback for continuous quality improvement to guide need for curriculum changes.
      • Review and update existing curriculum developed internally based on need or time schedule
      • Work with internal teams to develop and disseminate new curricula as needed
    • Develop and support oversight of online resources and learning.
      • Research and collect new resources for website toolkit
      • Support updates to website
      • Work with stakeholders and content experts for asynchronous projects, webinars and other online learning activities.
    • Engage in and represent WCWPDS-MKE in collaborative, stakeholder and home visiting meetings Statewide, nationally and locally as appropriate.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • A Bachelor’s degree in social work, education or related social science/humanities discipline
    • Five or more years experience in supporting families or within professional development, direct experience in home visiting or family support field
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Masters degree preferred
    • A current or prior role in building or supporting a culture of diversity and inclusion (race, gender and gender expression, age, socio-economic status, etc.)
    • Strong communication skills
    • Able to work well within a team and independently
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft programs, Zoom, etc.
    • Understanding of adult learning and experience with adult instruction
