The Wisconsin Crop Innovation Center (WCIC) is a UW plant biotechnology research facility in Middleton WI. The Center consists of a 100,000 sq ft foot building and contains a 26,000 sq ft greenhouse. The WCIC consists of a team of 35 staff performing scientific discoveries on plant biotechnology and keeps plants and plant cell cultures thriving.
This is an entry level facilities position that will be trained on the intricacies of the building and the research specific components that require oversite, maintenance, and repair. Experience with performing the following functions:
-Basic equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair
-Operational maintenance or construction activities
-Inventory control
-Setting up and tearing down equipment for meetings and events
-Normal hours are 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
-Rotating on-call schedule to include some weekends and holidays.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Minimum $19.76 HOURLY

The minimum hourly rate for this position will be $19.76. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
