University of Wisconsin–Madison is Hiring an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Near Madison, WI

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, assist with the responsibilities of a Division I Men's Basketball program in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University regulations. Areas of responsibility may include: recruiting, organizing and conducting practices, scouting, conditioning, performance of administrative and public relations duties, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Responsibilities:

* Recruiting prospective student-athletes
* Organizing and conducting practices
* Scouting opponents and creating game plans
* Develop student athlete skills to maximize performance
* Developing and executing player conditioning plans
* Performance of administrative and public relations duties
* Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

* Collegiate coaching experience is preferred
* Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following: the ability to foster team competitive success while maintaining a strong emphasis on the personal development and academic achievement of student-athletes; excellent communication skills to work with student-athletes, other coaches, and administrators; knowledge of and experience with NCAA and Big Ten rules.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Limited appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
