Posting Date: 01/26/2024 Closing Info: Open Until Filled Salary: $19.97 per hour Other Compensation: Shift: First Shift UW Medicine IT Services Administration has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time, day shift,Student Assistantto provide administrative assistance for operations and initiatives within the team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in Information Technology and/or Information Technology Administration. This position will assist with general administrative duties including helping with calendar scheduling, taking meeting minutes, and assisting with administrative projects. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with MS Outlook to schedule, monitor, and manage calendars for UW IT Services Leaders.
Utilizing MS Word to take meetings during UW Medicine IT Services meetings and distributing as necessary.
Working on various projects for the UW Medicine IT Services Administration Team.
Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a current student at the University of Washington.
Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel skills, with strong interest in learning and using technology that supports IT Services goal of sharing of information transparently and in user-friendly methods.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Concise and effective writing skills and attention to detail.
Solid organizational skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of individuals, including management/leadership.
DESIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Able to conduct effective research, cite resources, and build reports.
Proficiency in full Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position will require a minimum of 16 hours per week, with a maximum of 19.5 when school is in session.
Student Assistants are expected to work during business hours, which are between 8am and 5pm.
This position can be 100% remote, but on-site meetings will occasionally be scheduled.
