UW Medicine Primary Carehas an outstanding opportunity for aRadiology Technologist (Imaging Technologist) to join our Mountlake Terrace Primary Care Clinic!

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week
  • May require a regularly scheduled weekend day Saturday/Sunday

  • Perform radiographic procedures among a collaborative and compassionate team of providers and clinical support staff.DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    UW Medicine Primary Care at Mountlake Terrace is among our network of 16-Community-based clinics throughout the Puget Sound region. Our clinics offer a wide spectrum of primary care services, as well as secondary care, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Urgent care services are offered seven days a week in our Mountlake Terrace clinic, and at select locations in the region. Our clinics are staffed with compassionate and professional providers, healthcare workers, and administrative staff, and are consistently recognized for high quality standards by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care and the National Committee for Quality Assurance Patient-Centered Medical Home Program.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures. Verify the site of the exam and instruct patients regarding procedures.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays following established procedures. Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis
  • Provide protection for patient and self in accordance with prescribed safety standards
  • Examine radiology images for properties such as density and contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
  • Deliver images to PACS for reading/ interpretation by providers and UW Radiologists
  • Maintain radiology room Stocks necessary medical and radiology supplies
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiological equipmentREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with Registry, or eligible to have ARRT completed within probationary period.
  • Current State of Washington certification as a Radiologic Technologist/X-ray Technician, or obtain certification within probationary period.
