Commercial Loan Officer – Full Time – Charlottesville, VA

Summary:

UVA Community Credit Union is seeking a friendly, qualified, talented, and motivated sales and service oriented individual to join us as a Commercial Loan Officer. The successful candidate for Commercial Loan Officer will be both detail and goal oriented, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have the ability to succeed under pressure, and have a proven track record of customer service and sales success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize business network and personal contacts to identify prospective borrowers
• Develop and expand the Credit Union’s Commercial loan portfolio by actively calling on in-market prospects and clients, to raise brand awareness, obtain leads, and qualify opportunities
• Provide top-tier customer service to members/commercial loan applicants through application process
• Work with credit underwriters to conduct financial analysis of new and existing relationships and assist in the preparation of credit presentations to Loan Committee and Executive Management team
• Negotiate credit pricing, and terms and conditions within guidelines set by Leadership
• Promote the Credit Union in the business community by attending meetings with local businesses, professionals, and charitable organizations
• Facilitate commercial loan application and review processes, including interview, documentation collection and review, underwriting, and approval
• Perform all tasks in strict accordance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations and Credit Union policy and procedure

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of commercial lending experience
• A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, additional relevant experience may be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree
• Exceptional customer service, communication, and analytical skills
• Strong proficiency in PC applications, specifically MS Excel and MS Word, with the ability to move swiftly and accurately between multiple applications
