Job Summary

The School of Dance is looking for an eager Work-Study student to support the Marketing Communications Coordinator\!

Responsibilities

The role requires:

  • Being Social Media Savvy. Knowing the difference between a reel , story , and main feed post and how the content should differ for each of these channels. Bonus points for those with TikTok know-how and experience.
  • Coordination. Keeping a finger on the pulse of things that would be great as content — guest artists, master classes, special events, even the final day of an incredible combination in technique class — and communicating it to the Mar/Comm coordinator.
  • Capturing Content. When time is of the essence, this person needs to be willing to capture dynamic photos and video suitable for the School of Dance social media channels (still images, vertical filming for reels, boomerangs, etc). They also need to be willing to use their own personal cell phone to do so.
  • Caption Writing. It would be extra helpful if this person was able to write rough drafts of captions to describe the content they are capturing, which includes collecting the names and social handles of the students featured for easy tagging. It’s also important to always request the permission of students to be filmed.
