Job Description ProMedica is a locally owned, nonprofit healthcare organization serving northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. **Job Description:**

Conducts payor denial analysis to identify denial trends for process improvement and revenue generation

Produces denial reports to support ProMedica revenue cycle and various other departments

Creates denial reduction procedures to assist with reducing ProMedicas denial experience

Maintains assigned work queues

Identifies and recommends process improvements related to current operating procedures

Creates standard operating procedures to assist in denial reduction

Works claims to assist in follow-up and appropriate payment

Participates in cross functional workgroups and committees

Maintain up to date knowledge on state and federal regulatory agencies rules and regulations related to hospital billing and collections

Keeps abreast of trends, developments, and practices

Gathers and analyzes payor data to achieve optimal reimbursement

Provides denial education to help ensure denial reductions

Performs other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements

* High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred

* Medical billing experience preferred

* Must be proficient in Excel and data analysis

* Must have exemplary customer service and communications

* Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change quickly and think conceptually

* Must have exceptional interpersonal skills

* Team mentality

* Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

* Impeccable attendance

* Must be PC proficient

* Must pass Skills Test with a 90% or greater score

* Must be able to move about office and between workstations

* Must be able to occasionally lift, move and carry up to 20lbs of materials
