University of the Pacific is Hiring a Laundry & Equipment Assistant (Temporary) Near Stockton, CA
Primary Purpose:
The Laundry & Equipment Assistant will assist the Equipment Manager in managing Athletic equipment and operate laundry machines to ensure fresh linens for teams during competitions.
Essential Functions:Laundry Operations:
Sorts and weighs soiled laundry.
Loads and unloads machines.
Shakes, irons, folds, sorts, and counts clean laundry.
Disposes of unusable items and reports need for replacement.
Stores and secures supplies and equipment.
Cleans laundry area.
Operates washing machines, dryers, extractors, ironers, steam cabinets, folders, and sewing machines. Selects correct cycles, formulas, temperatures, and drying times. Prepares and loads laundry chemicals.
Monitors machines for problems and performs minor maintenance.
Equipment Management:
Monitor and track Athletic equipment on a daily basis by sport, type and use.
Assists in receiving and sorting Athletic equipment.
Takes inventory and assists in preparing monthly inventory to management. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience operating laundry equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Operate machinery with little to no assistance.
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Work performed on evenings, weekends, and odd hours.
Hiring Range: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
