Job DescriptionRepairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation used in health care delivery field. Also conduct a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesRepairs, calibrates, and maintains equipmentAscertain equipment functions properly and safelyReflow high level IC'sTroubleshoot and repair ultrasound systemsTroubleshoot and repair PCBs and power suppliesProcess paperwork according to test results.Research new repair techniquesReads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be usedCalibrates test instruments according to specificationsRuns DiagnosticsReads dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitanceDiagnose system failuresPerform board-level system repairsPerform component-level board repairsEvaluate PCB, power supply, and system performancePerform QA on repaired PCB's, power supplies, and systemsReplace defective components including SMDSpecify and source repair partsDefine and document repair processesDocument all testing and repair activitiesAssist with ultrasound training as neededPerform other related tasks as neededSkills, Abilities, KnowledgeTechnical WritingDC electronicsAC electronicsDigital electronics PCB technology Microprocessor Network applications Analog Communications PLC hardware and programming Diode and Transistor Circuits Op-amp circuits Software interfaceWafer and unit level processingTroubleshootingSoldering SMT Surface Mount Technology Preventive maintenance Software interface System Configurations Peripheral devices Data log collectionQualificationsAssociates degree in a technical, electronics field or equivalent military training requiredMinimum 3 years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipmentComplex computer skills including the ability to interpret error codes, defragment hard-drives, replace power supplies, and interpret computer codes requiredKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications requiredAbility to integrate information from a variety of sourcesFrequently required to reach, pull, and/or employ fine motor skills during the installation, servicing, and maintenance of medical equipmentFrequently required to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, balance, or otherwise maneuver body while servicing and/or inspecting medical equipmentFrequently required to operate tools/machinery that use hand and/or foot controls (e.g. drills, saws, electronic test equipment, etc.) when servicing medical equipmentFrequently required to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 25 pounds while working with medical equipmentExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent written, verbal, and presentational communication skillsAdditional InformationCompensation : $15.00 Per Hour with Competitive Wage Structure Based On ExperienceClassification : Full Time, Non-exemptCompensation and Benefits:Competitive Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance Policy (1st of month after 30 days)401k Plan with Generous Employer Matching Contribution LevelsPTO PolicyHoliday PayJury and Bereavement Paid LeaveInterested in joining the team?
