Primary Purpose:
The Graduate Research Assistant will support the VLRC Director and Attorneys with legal research and writing.
Essential Functions:
Aid with legal research pertaining to victims rights.
Collect and organize legal information on victims rights.
Compile a national compendium of court rulings on specific victims rights.
Perform electronic and print research on victims rights-related issues; assist VLRC attorneys with case research, including drafting legal memos, court filings, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Experience working in victims legal rights field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong research and writing skills
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
