SalarySalary Range: $30,404 - $48,649/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours per WeekExempt: 40 hours, generally from 8:00AM to 5:00PM - Hours may vary
Some weekend work may be required.
Some out of town work may be required.

Texas Driver's License or the ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
Essential Functions- Conduct standard archaeological field work, including monitoring, shovel testing, and excavating in harsh conditions.
- Conduct descriptions and analysis of record material remains.
- Summarize and produce reports of archaeological fieldwork that are consistent with industry standards.
- Standard archaeological lab activities.
- Ability to obtain Texas Antiquities Permit.
Required Qualifications- Master's degree from an accredited institution in the field of assignment.
- Two years of related research experience.
- Thorough knowledge of special equipment used in the field of research.
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced courses leading to a Ph.D. in the field of assignment.
- Three or more years of related research experience.
- Knowledge of scientific equipment used in related fields of research.
Working ConditionsThis position will be primarily located:
On Campus: Primary work location will be on the1604 campus.
Usual laboratory, field, or office conditions. Field work may include working in hot and cold conditions. Requires standing for long periods of time, physical excursion, and the ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
