Essential Functions
Job Summary
The University of Texas-San Antonio Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design Student Success Center is a student-centric office focused on promoting the academic, personal, and professional success of over 4000 undergraduate and graduate students. The Center provides programming around the four key areas of academic retention and support, career and professional development, involvement, and leadership skills development. The Program Manager is a key member of the Student Success team who works closely with students, staff, and faculty.
The Student Success Center Program Manager is responsible for the successful function and promotion of Klesse College student organizations and serves as the Staff Advisor for the Klesse Student Advisory Council. Oversight of College student organizations includes assisting with the development and implementation of programs and activities, marketing and communication, reporting and budgeting, and the creation of legacy plans. The Program Manager oversees annual student events hosted by the Student Council including Pumpkin Smash, Engineer's Week, Design Week, Construction Appreciation Week, and monthly training sessions. This position oversees college funds designated for student organization support and advises the Student Council on its distribution.
The Program Manager oversees leadership development programs including our Student Leadership Challenge and Klesse Emerging Leaders. The Program Manager is responsible for program planning, implementation, and assessment. This position also assists in key events hosted by the Student Success Center including UTSA Days, Roadrunner Days, and Technology Symposiums.
Core Responsibilities
  • Assists with data tracking and reporting for student participation in service learning, leadership development, career and professional development activities, and undergraduate research.
  • Responsible for scheduling, planning, coordinating, and administering major programs.
  • Develops and manages the scheduling of programs and special events.
  • Develops and manages the production of program materials ensuring quality and timelines are maintained.
  • Coordinates program agreements between the Center and teaching faculty, corporate clients, faculty, and current and past students.
  • Develops and submits proposals to corporate clients for executive program development and corporate program events.
  • Develops and manages program budgets, ensuring program accounts remain within budget. Perform purchasing, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
  • Manages staff for program operations and logistics.
  • Acts as a representative of the department during all programs.
  • Promotes safety and environmental protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of related experience.
  • Tact, diplomacy, and judgment are necessary in dealing with others.Additional Information

    This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
