Salary
Salary Range: $40,000- $48,600 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
  • Plan and coordinate support operations for the Faculty Center and other Library Meeting Rooms. Responsible for scheduling and supervision of events and coordinating technical, physical, and other required support.
Core Responsibilities
  • Manages the administrative operations of the Faculty Center in John Peace Library and other Library meeting rooms. Monitors room calendars, mediates scheduling, and provides all guidance for event planning to users of the Faculty Center and other Library meeting spaces.
  • Initiates, plans, schedules, and manages on and off-site events to include coordination/procuring of location, facilities, technical services, supplies, marketing, and personnel. Acts as a liaison with internal and external customers and agencies to coordinate and facilitate co-sponsored events.
  • Ensures sufficient support personnel are trained and available. Hires, trains, schedules, and manages use of hours for all Faculty Center student and support personnel. Provides performance development and evaluations of direct reports.
  • Collects, tracks, and reports facility use data for operations and planning.
  • Communicates information regarding facility use, program operations, and campus policies, regulations and procedures to customers and the University community. Coordinates communications for the Faculty Center website content related to Faculty Center space use.
  • Demonstrates UTSA core values: Integrity, Excellence, Inclusiveness, Respect, Collaboration and Innovation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and one year of experience in events management. An additional two years of experience may substitute for two years of education.
  • Two years' experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience using audio visual equipment for presentations (e.g. Exxtron systems, sound, and presentations software).
  • Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
  • Hybrid Office Environment, with some flexibility to work remotely depending on complexity of events scheduled.
  • Requires use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
  • Occasional after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required, as scheduling of events in the facility dictates.
This position is Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
