Early adolescence is an optimal time to enhance learning, but many educators do not have the benefit of scientific methods that foster these skills. Our training program enables middle school through ninth grade teachers to take advantage of this important brain development stage and optimize student learning for success in the classroom and beyond. The SMART (Strategic Memory Advanced Reasoning Tactics) Trainer will provide technical skills to train teachers in the classroom to carryout
SMART training techniques. Responsible for coordinating procedures and performing technical laboratory duties in accordance with plans.

Master's degree preferred. Teaching experience highly desired. Background with large scale study, including recruiting, monitoring and retaining subjects a plus.

Work with team to train teachers to implement SMART in the classroom. Exercises responsibility for project performance and accountability for progress and personally performs research work. May present original ideas for follow-up studies. Recommends the utilization of new or revised techniques and procedures to obtain desired results. May assist in the preparation of material for reports or publication.

After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote / partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. May be required to use personal computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located within the DFW area and have
the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required.
