Responsibilities

Patients arrive directly from the Emergency Department after they are admitted to inpatient adult Medicine. 21800 nurses care for the patient in their most acute phase of their hospitalization while they await transfer to their inpatient bed location within the main hospital. Please consider joining a team of nurses that specialize in care of a diverse spectrum of acute and complex medical patients. This is an exciting, fast paced unit where nurses learn to build strong critical thinking and organizational skills while working within a collaborative team with physicians, advanced practice nurses, social work, and support staff. Individuals must be flexible, collaborative, motivated, ready to learn, and possess excellent communication skills. New Graduates are eligible for the MedSurg Residency Program.

Qualifications

Requires a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State RN license in good standing.

Level I
Applicants will have less than 6-12 months of RN experience.

Level II
Applicants will have a minimum of 6-12 months of RN experience. This position assumes the charge nurse role, actively participates in unit/service activities, supports co-workers, and assesses unit needs.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $ 34.00 - $ 44.20 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined byconsidering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
