Job Description Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for using expertise to drive the successful administration and execution of programming (including visitor selection and engagement) on global policy at The Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement (PBC), also in support of Perry World House. The Program Manager will facilitate the research, policy, public convening, and outreach agendas of PBC, including by planning and executing convenings -- workshops, lectures, etc., on a regular basis; producing written outputs (reports, white papers, blog posts, opinion pieces); leveraging the work through strategic communications; undertaking research to advance global engagement; and developing and implementing various undergraduate student programming, as determined.

Responsibilities
Conceive of, plan, organize, and execute all levels and types of virtual and in-person convenings (public and private; roundtables, conferences, briefings, seminars, etc.); help develop, prepare, and manage participant lists; draft agendas, invites, and background materials. Support research on specific global policy questions; summarize research papers and other content and analysis; assist with editing and proofreading of publications; write summary documents and briefing memos; prepare presentation materials and reports on forums, symposia, and conferences; compile backgrounders, abstracts, summaries, briefing notes, memos, analyses of books and articles, and other materials as needed. Assists with outreach and coordination for agenda, meetings, calls, and communications with external groups as well as visiting scholars and fellows and staff. Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Master's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience undertaking global policy research and analysis and/or leveraging academic research in global policy spaces. Excellent research, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, producing high-quality written and other outputs in a timely manner. Must be able to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while being on a tight deadline. Should be a team player who works collaboratively and can manage projects independently to completion.
