Position Summary
Position Overview
This temporary position is up to 20 hours per week for 6 months. The Temporary Assistant Graphic Designer will help inspire Northwestern constituents to engage with the university’s digital channels. This position will temporarily support institutional marketing efforts, using messaging and design to drive interest and communicate with key constituencies. What will I do in this position?
Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Under the direction of the Graphic Designer and in collaboration with campus constituents, design marketing materials.
Ensure Northwestern’s brand message is consistent across digital platforms.

What will it take to succeed in this position?
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience required
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom)
Continually nurture a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; serve as a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintain a kind, Christ-like attitude in dealing with and ministering to people within and outside of Northwestern; and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, doctrinal statement, and Declaration of Christian Community.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work alongside a team of directors and content creators
Creative thinking skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate computer proficiency
Ability to pass a background check upon hire and periodically throughout the course of employment
Work Environment: The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian university alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission and values of the University and an agreement to abide by all University policies.
