Department Summary
The Office of Institutional Integrity and Awareness (formerly known as the Office of Institutional Compliance and Integrity) creates an integrity-based approach that combines compliance with an emphasis on responsibility for ethical behavior. This includes making values driven choices that are rooted in the HSC Values and Code of Culture. The office has oversight and management HSC's Compliance Program which includes policies, clinical compliance, compliance education and training, privacy, investigations, Integrity Framework, conflict of interest and Code of Culture.
Position Overview
The Senior Instructional Designer within the Office of Institutional Integrity and Awareness is responsible for the management, technical, analytical, and consulting expertise for implementation and ongoing support of compliance and Integrity education and training.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, curriculum & instruction, professional development or a related field and five (5) years of related experience in education, or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of and ability to implement principles of educational design, curriculum development, adult learning, writing skills, communication skills, collaboration mindset, analytical skills, project management, and educational assessment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Web Accessibility (WCAG) / ADA compliance certification
  • Experience with digital learning and artificial intelligence for training
  • Experience in Learning Management System (LMS)

Job Duties
o
Instructional Design:
  • Manage the design, development, and maintenance of training courses, instructional materials, and education programs for integrity and compliance education
  • Partners with subject matter experts for content accuracy, provide instructional guidance
  • Assists leadership in evaluating the effectiveness of training and educational programs.
  • Conducts needs assessments to assist with the design and implementation of education forums on a wide range of subjects, as identified by leadership and directors.
  • Works with managers and subject matter experts to identify requirements, facilitate and implement changes in process, logistics and administration integrity and compliance education program.
  • Recommend, design, execute, and evaluate eLearning design based on assigned specific to compliance and integrity education
  • Continuously monitor education technology trends to ensure the compliance and integrity program remains at the forefront of digital learning best practices
  • Utilize artificial intelligence to enhance learner engagement and motivation through interactive and immersive experiences, adaptive content, gamification, and instant feedback.
  • Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) models and solutions that can be entrenched into current and new education and training modules
  • Evaluate courses regularly for effectiveness and implement revisions as necessary while recommending strategies for course improvements based on data insights

LMS Administration:
  • Coordinate and oversee the campus-wide maintenance of the Learning Management System
  • Provide analytical, administrative, and procedural assistance for the identification of LMS and training program requirements, enhancements, and setup decisions.
  • Provides access to learning management system training records to appropriate personnel for auditing and reporting purposes
  • Create training calendar for the organization and distribute appropriately.
  • Routinely assesses training needs of employees and students and changes in federal, state, and local regulations, standards, or practices for training gaps and assists in finding appropriate learning solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related issues in collaboration with LMS vendor support.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of new employee orientation, mandatory annual education and training, leadership training, and other education programs for students and employees
  • Develop user manuals, tutorials, and FAQ resources
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to users facing challenges or issues with the LMS or course content.
  • Extract, analyze, and report data on course enrollments, user activity, and other relevant metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned
