TheUNM Office for Continuous Professional (CPL) is offering a unique opportunityas a Marketing Assistant to support the overall marketing plan and goals of thedepartment in the area of graphic and digital design. This position requiresthe ability to leverage digital tools and online marketing strategies to aid inthe development and promotion of learning experiences (e.g., conferences,workshops, lectures, etc.) and successful messaging to a variety of internaland external audiences. This is an up to 20 hours per week position. Working with theEvents Team, this employee will:

• Have the opportunity to conceptualize, create, proof and distribute artwork for print and digital media including but not limited to flyers, brochures, postcards, general signage and digital graphics for web and social media. Work with the Marketing/Web Administrator to support the maintenance of our department website, hsc.unm.edu/medicine/education/cpl/, through the creation, uploading and updating of new content related to learning experiences and resources (online and print) for healthcare professionals and educators.
• Assist in transferring of written conference, workshop, and/or lecture descriptions and other department-specific content to be publish on the website.
• Assist with developing and updating mailing lists, creating and/or formatting event and department marketing emails, preparing and posting calendar listings, and working with internal and/or external vendors on print needs.
• Perform additional job-related duties may be assigned as needed.Theideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in graphicdesign for digital and print output, be highly creative, professional studentmentality and willingness to learn from feedback and take direction, and have astrong work ethic and collaborative mindset. Experience with web administrationand Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Spark, InDesign and/orIllustrator) not necessary but highly desired.

• Strong design aesthetic and intermediate level of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (emphasis in Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with project management platform, such as Smartsheet
• Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design
• Experience with website administration/maintenance using Cascade/Hannon Hill is a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Availability of up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours. This job will require working on the HSC campus at the CPL office at times.
