Position: Counselor Social Worker

JOB SUMMARY

Offer a variety of psychological assessment, diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or case management services to individuals, couples, and/or families, as required by the position. Typically works under the guidance of a clinical professional within a clinical agency or a medical/hospital facility. Might provide guidance to students and/or paraprofessional staff. Ensure compliance with Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care may involve neonates, pediatric, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
Master's Degree in a related discipline

EXPERIENCE:
Documented experience in an age-appropriate setting

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
LMSW or LPC or LMHC

TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
Tuberculosis testing is done upon hire and as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
1 year of directly related experience

Bilingual English/Spanish

Bilingual English/Local Native Languages

WORKING CONDITIONS

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Minor Hazard - physical risks, dirt, dust, fumes, noise

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. May require walking, standing, or sitting with occasional pushing and pulling of controls.

Lead and train counselors/social workers, students, and interns. Ensure compliance with Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care may involve various age groups.

EDUCATION:
Master's Degree in a related discipline

EXPERIENCE:
Documented experience in an age-appropriate setting

3 years directly related experience

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
LPCC or LCSW or Marriage and Family Therapist License

TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
Tuberculosis testing is done upon hire and as needed
