The Biomedical Sciences department is hiring an energetic Research/Laboratory Technician to learn in an active research laboratory focusing on research such as reproduction and the affects of plastics on offspring. This person will learn and be responsible for tasks such as breeding and taking care of mice, genotyping, tissue collections, and with training, some molecular analysis, including isolating exosomes and RNA.
Depending upon availability, this position could be from 15 to 25 hours per week, with those hours falling within the standard hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Some college experience in the science areas or laboratory experience is preferable.
Salary Range: This is a part-time position, with pay from $12.73-19.59 per hour.
