Summary

The research assistant will work with Dr. Heather Dawson and graduate students on a fish ecology study.

Responsibilities*

• Collect fish from the Flint River and obtain data on fish captured
• Help prepare some fish samples for contaminant testing
• Help with acoustic receiver deployments and data retrieval
• Help with mapping underwater terrain using sonar

Required Qualifications*

• Must be a currently enrolled UM-Flint undergraduate student in good academic standing or recently graduated from a UM-Flint undergraduate program and not currently enrolled in a graduate program
• Must have expertise and interest in outside work
• Must have knowledge of wildlife biology
• Must have successfully completed Ecology (BIO 327)
