Job DescriptionJob Summary
The Perinatal Sonographer provides safe and effective ultrasound services to OB/GYN patients with specific attention to the specialized procedures unique to Perinatal medicine. Performs and interprets ultrasounds within the scope of the job. Together with the physician, develops final diagnostic impression. Properly documents all procedures according to policy.
QualificationsIII. Education and Experience
1. Vocational/Technical Degree (Required)
2. Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
IV. Certifications & Licensures
1. BLS Certification (Required)
2. NT Nuchal Translucency Certification (Required)
3. RDMS OB/GYN (Required)
4. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Required)
V. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. 1 year or more of sonography experience (Required)
2. 1 year or more of demonstrated ability to perform advanced Doppler exams to include middle cerebral artery
3. 1 year or more of umbilical cord artery, ductus venosus and uterine arteries. Experienced in targeted fetal assessment (Required)
4. 1 year or more of demonstrated knowledge of and experience performing 3D/4D exams (Required)
5. 1 year or more of experience in guiding physician during invasive procedures (Required)
6. 1 year or more of prior experience in perinatal sonography (Required)
