In collaboration with the Assistant Vice President, Patient Services, Executive Director, Behavioral Health Services, and the Senior Vice President, Patient Services /CNO (Nursing Leadership), assists him/her in the daily management of the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit, in the coordination of patient flow, in assuring appropriate staffing, budget compliance, and in the preparation of performance evaluations. Twenty-four (24) hour accountability and responsibility for designated unit.

Providing a vast continuum of behavioral health care, including outpatient, primary care office, intensive outpatient, inpatient psychiatry, crisis center, and the emergency department, you will be able to thrive and grow professionally with our strong leadership team.
Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed
as an RN in the state of Maryland. Bachelors’ degree in Nursing is required; Masters preferred. Certification in BCLS is required; ACLS certification is preferred. Nursing Administration or clinical certification preferred.
Work Orientation & Experience: The Nurse Manager has a minimum of three years of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting; including one (1) year Charge Nurse experience. Proven clinical competence and proficiency in the area of specialty is required.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to: a) prioritize work assignments and complete duties within prescribed time frames; b) establish and maintain positive working relationships and open lines of communication with a variety of people; c) make independent decisions; d) demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; e) demonstrate the following skills: planning, decision-making, delegating and coaching; and f) manages effectively in a constantly-changing, high-pressure environment.
