This is a hybrid role but will require being onsite at the Linthicum or Downtown Baltimore location 1-2 times per week.
As a Content Marketing Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting content initiatives and marketing efforts for the University of Maryland Medical System. Your focus will be on creating compelling and engaging content across various platforms to drive brand awareness, engage patients, and support organizational goals.
Key responsibilities include implementing the established content strategy for the medical system, deploying and tracking content, and coordinating content development, both by creating content yourself as well as curating content from content creation partners and freelancers.
Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive content plan that leverages earned, owned, and paid media channels to align with the System's goals and member organization priorities.
Assist in generating, reviewing, and editing content for websites, social media, email campaigns, consumer magazines, and other promotional channels. Help craft engaging content to increase visibility and encourage audience participation.
Contribute to the consistent application of established content guidelines in all content planning initiatives and campaigns. Stay informed about new channels and trends to explore innovative ways to connect with current and prospective patients.
Assist in maintaining an organized content marketing calendar that ensures regular creation and publication of high-quality content across multiple platforms. Contribute to strengthening the UMMS brand and local hospitals through impactful content.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support email marketing initiatives, including the creation and execution of wellness emails, targeted campaigns, and more.
Contribute to the production of consumer-oriented podcasts, ensuring engaging and informative content for both consumer and physician audiences.
Provide support in managing the production process of consumer-facing print magazines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
Assist in updating and maintaining the UMMS wellness website, ensuring accuracy and relevance of information.
Contribute maintaining a comprehensive content database to enhance content utilization throughout the System.
Support the repurposing of content effectively for various channels, advocating for a multi-channel marketing approach.
Collaborate with stakeholders to adhere to established editorial guidelines, ensuring consistency in brand voice, style, and tone.
Coordinate with internal team members, external writers, and third-party vendors as needed to support content marketing initiatives.
Assist in tracking and analyzing content performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Communicate project updates and plans with key stakeholders. Manage deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously while completing work quickly and with high attention to detail.
Collaborate with design team to develop marketing collateral (i.e., social media posts, graphics for articles, email graphics, etc.)
Collaborate with member organization marketing teams to develop email, social, blog, and other content for campaigns.
Provide assistance to the creative team by supporting copywriting and other campaign-specific tasks as required.
Contribute to the marketing efforts of the System and member organizations as needed.
