The LeGates lab is seeking a highly motivated Laboratory Research Technician to assist in the development of projects focused on determining how synaptic plasticity in specific neuronal circuits mediate motivated behavior.
The LeGates lab uses whole-cell electrophysiology, optogenetics, fiber-photometry and behavior, in conjunction with several other cellular/molecular biology techniques, to measure and manipulate neuronal circuit function and understand its impact on motivated behaviors.

UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $43,404 and has 11 days of vacation as well as winter break, spring break, and personal days for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.
