Statement of the Job
The Mechanical Specialist CL3 maintains, repairs, and improves the physical plant of the Darling Marine Center, including buildings, support systems, safety systems, seawater pumping systems, storm response, and grounds.
Some of the duties & responsibilities include performing work requests for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, construction and related operations.
Completes preventative maintenance, building, and safety inspections as needed. Maintains university vehicles, roads, paths / walkways, and porches / steps.
Assists with seasonal grounds work and snow removal. Assists with hazardous waste storage. Occasionally responds to alarms or repair calls or checks on the facility after hours or on weekends as needed.
Full-time, 40 hours per week, 5 days a week. Finalist will have an option for work hours of Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 a.m.
to 4 : 00 p.m. or 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. Occasionally responds to alarms or repair calls or checks on the facility after hours or on weekends as needed.
Starting pay for this position is $23.92.
