As an HVAC Mechanic Assistant, you'll work alongside journey HVAC mechanics to repair and maintain heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in university-owned buildings.
Gathering tools and supplies required for the job site as instructed.
Assisting in lifting, positioning, and securing objects and equipment, including the removal of old equipment when necessary.
Supporting in routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning units, replacing filters, removing rust, repainting, and draining and filling oil reservoirs.
Aiding in maintaining tools and equipment in good condition and organizing supplies and parts.
Performing other assigned job-related duties.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions like percentages and ratios, typically acquired through high school education
- No prior experience required
