The University of Lynchburg, a private regional university, located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia is seeking a temporary, non-exempt Service/Production Assistant to join our Dining Services team.

Job Type: Temporary, Non-Exempt

Work Remotely: No

Schedule: Based off events (Subject to change)

Job Purpose: Provides Scheduled or “as needed” assistance in food production and/or service areas for dining operations.

Specific Job Duties:

• Ensures highest levels of sanitation in food preparation, serving standards and serving

area to exceed expectations of the Virginia Health Department.

• Provides coverage or assistance as needed in Dining Services to include, but not limited to: pantry, beverage, menu production, service, dish room, pot wash and catering.
• Performs any other related duties as may be required.

Physical Demands: Lifting 25 lbs, Prolong Standing

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Either previous experience in a service position in a fine dining, commercial or noncommercial restaurant operation is desired.
