Department: Center for Community Engagement (Drysdale 218)

Supervisor: Community Engagement Coordinator

Term: One-year appointment for Academic Year 2024-2025 with opportunity for re-application and re-hire.

Hours/Week: 10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and working location options.

Essential Duties:

• Keep regular in-person office hours for team communication and support.
• Collaboratively manage the HornetServe (GivePulse) volunteer platform Champion at least one community service event sponsored by the Center for Community Engagement.
• Support full-cycle promotion for community engagement events and initiatives.
• Be ready to take on other related duties as needed and work well with faculty, staff, and students.
• Be flexible/available to work some weekends and evenings, to support events sponsored by the Center for Community Engagement.

Qualifications

Candidate Profile:

• A full-time undergraduate student at the University of Lynchburg
• Google Suite and social media savvy (including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter).
• Design experience using Canva or Adobe InDesign.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population, as well as faculty, staff, and parents
