Position Title: Clinical Supervisor

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a University Clinic setting. The Clinical Supervisor will play a pivotal role in providing clinical instruction to both graduate and undergraduate students, guiding them through the planning and implementation of clinical management programs for individuals with a diverse range of communicative disorders. This position also involves active participation in diagnostic evaluations, parent conferences, and coordination of services to meet the clinical needs of clients.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Instruction:
-Provide comprehensive clinical supervision to graduate and undergraduate students within a University Clinic setting.
-Guide students in developing and implementing effective clinical management programs for individuals of varying ages with communicative disorders.

Diagnostic Evaluations:
-Conduct and oversee diagnostic evaluations for clients, contributing to accurate assessment and diagnosis of communicative disorders.
-Collaborate with students to analyze assessment results and formulate appropriate intervention plans.

Parent Conferences:
-Engage in parent conferences to discuss assessment findings, progress, and strategies for supporting clients with communicative disorders.
-Foster collaborative relationships with families to ensure effective communication and understanding of intervention plans.
Coordination of Services:
-Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive services that address the diverse clinical needs of clients.
-Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to enhance the overall quality of care provided within the clinic.

Direct Service Provision:
-Participate in direct service provision to clients as part of the student mentorship programs, modeling best practices and maintaining a high standard of clinical care.
-Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their clinical skills and professional development.

Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
-Master’s degree or higher in Communicative Disorders or related area
-Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
-Eligibility for Louisiana licensure
-Clinical experience and knowledge in current clinical theory.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Three years clinical experience is preferred with supervisory experience working with diverse populations.
-Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations.
