Position Title: Assistant Manager, Information Systems and Multimedia Labs

Responsibilities:
The College of Business at the University of Louisiana atLafayette is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the teamas an Assistant Manager, Information Systems and Multimedia Labs. In this role, you will beresponsible for maintaining local area networks, classroom equipment,individual faculty/staff and lab computers, including printers and peripheralswithin the college. Your primary focus will be on identifying and resolvingnetwork and instructional software, Ethernet, and internet issues, including securitymeasures. Additionally, you will play a key role in completing equipmentupgrades, providing technical support to faculty and staff, and assisting inpurchasing decisions. 
Responsibilities: 
-Maintain local area networks to ensure seamless connectivity. 
-Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly. 
-Implement and enhance security measures to protect the integrity of the network. 
-Oversee the maintenance and upgrades of classroom equipment, lab computers, and peripherals. 
-Execute timely upgrades of hardware and software components. 
-Document equipment specifications and configurations. 
-Provide technical support to faculty and staff for computer-related issues. 
-Conduct training sessions as needed to enhance users' technical proficiency. 
-Collaborate with ISM Manager to address complex technical challenges. 
-Supervise graduate and undergraduate assistants or student workers. 
-Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. 
-Establish and communicate work priorities and procedures. 
-Work closely with ISM Manager, University information technology, and computing support services departments. 
-Collaborate with various stakeholders to align information systems with organizational goals. 
-Participate in decision-making processes related to information systems. 
-Assist in making informed purchasing decisions for information systems. 
-Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions based on organizational needs and budget constraints. 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 

-Bachelor's degree 

-1 year experiencein maintaining networks and computer systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Ability tocommunicate effectively with faculty, staff and students.
